It’s the kinda place where you can park your lap top for hours and get lost in work. You could meet a friend for toasted cheddar bagels and iced coffee, then get cozy in the luxurious couch cushions.

With a few tables on their porch, you might read one of the books they make available for the public. It’s really just a good place to be.

It’s Good Chi.

If you’re lucky, one of the employees, Kenny, will be playing the baby grand in the seating area. Then you will have it all, a nice work space, pleasant subdued lighting, tasty pastries, brewed coffee with pumpkin spice syrup and a friendly staff.

It’s even a good place for a date, enjoy some parallel play time where he can draw and you can blog. That makes for a nice Saturday afternoon.

From what I gather the piano player’s dad owns the coffee shop. His mom runs the adjoining yoga studio. Those good chi vibes aren’t merely accidental.

In one room, they have their coffee bar and register area. There is bar seating for anyone feeling social. In the other room, there is a smattering of wooden tables with ample seating.

One corner is a nook with two orange comfy chairs and an elephant lamp. Across from there is a large area rug with a taupe leather sectional, coffee table, oversized, red corduroy bean bag and a baby grand.

The coffee is from Brass Tacks on Southside. The sweet bakery treats are from Amaretti’s. The bagels and muffins are from Village Bread. And Kenny plays Lizt in the background.
