Last Monday I met up with Julie C. Fetzer to learn about her journey as a professional artist.

We met at Urban Bean, Orange Park’s delightful coffee house and cafe. We sipped coffee and she shared a glimpse of how her career is developing.

How I came Across Julie C.’s Bridge Art

I first saw one of her prints in my friend Claire’s kitchen. I loved the bridges!

They reminded me of New York City, San Francisco and other cities with architectural feats. I decided I wanted to own some of her art one day.

Her primary mediums are:

  • Maps
  • Illustrations
  • Acrylic paintings

Two years later and I bought one card on a Saturday morning.

One year later and I got the courage to talk to her at the Riverside Arts Market. My husband, who draws, had shown me how he engages with other artists and openly admired their line work. It was my turn to fan girl a little.

Art should be accessible for everyone one. With $20 prints, many people can get a print in their home.

Her range of mediums and topics is quite large. While she started in corporate America as a landscape architect, she has soared to new heights in developing her own perspective of the North Florida coastline and waterways.

How much fun is this turtle painting? Makes me want to read children’s books!

It will be exciting to see how her artist journey will continue. She is extraordinarily talented and has a good heart.
