The drybar concept is so different from the angst and excitement of a cut and color salon trip. It's all about the temporary glam, the look that is made for that day. And maybe a few more, depending on if your hair holds curls. Getting someone to style hair with either fancy braids, hot tools, or an updo is perfect for a fancy soiree. For prom, for convenience, whatever it may be, the option is nice to have.

Yelp Elite Event at Drybar

Having a Yelp Elite event at Drybar was a total "treat yourself." I got to experience the leisurely activity of being styled by a professional.

I had my hair done by Ansley. While most people opted for curls, I wanted braids Ansley walked me through the look book options for the event. She showed me products they were featuring. She asked questions about what I wanted done. I got two braids, which were completed super fast. And she even offered to make adjustments when she was finished.

It was a really fun night getting pampered. The girl who welcomed me was very friendly, and offered me a beverage right away. I love that! They had nice snacks and the salon has a casual glam vibe. I considered booking an appointment for my upcoming work party, but it's a little bit pricey to splurge on that right now. Maybe for another big party!
