Supercuts Beachwalk
I opted for an assembly line haircut.

Some of the best stylist are hidden in the fast hair chains, just waiting for you to discover them. Sadly, there isn't the a profile and description on each site, so it's a bit of a blind gamble. But for insta-change needing people like me who suddenly need a new look in the next 76 hours or else...it can work out.
Booking the Impulse Cut
I went to the newish Supercuts on 210. It still had that recently opened squeaky clean feel. Nothing like the sad chain salon in 5 Points that I went to once that needing a good sweeping not just on the main floor but also the bathrooms. This place was nice though; easy scheduling, low-ish pricing, and convenient location.
I wanted a chop. A good ol' cut that would lob off a lot of hair and give me a new license on life.
Sure if often made me sad to lose some of my locks, but the shock value is so often worth it. When I was young, I liked these chops so much my hair never really got past my shoulders. It did, however, get very pixie short.
Going into the salon, my hair was a little past shoulder length. It was time to cut off the pony. I was going for a bob.
Long Bob Inspiration
One of my favorite styles is the angled long bob. To get that looking good, it's better if you have thick hair and also if you have long hair so they can angle it more. I had achieved longish hair for me so I was excited to see how steep the angle could be. There's some great Mindy Project episodes where she celebrates the "lob" or long bob.
I always hope to keep a little of the length, so I did that with the front pieces. Meanwhile the sheers got the back of my hair in a nice stack. The angle and stack help give a little bit of an impression that I have longer hair.
Michelle was friendly. She didn't insult the condition of my hair or the amount of time since my last haircut. She understood the assignment. She was ok with my preference for rockstar hair.

She took some time to cut my hair. It was definitely cost-effective.
Maybe next year I will go back!
